RockHero Ripper
An Avalonia desktop tool that extracts legally owned Guitar Hero and Rock Band sources, converts their charts and media, and writes Clone Hero, YARG, or Rock Band 3 PC folders.
The work
Do the tedious bit once.
Folders, archives, disc images, and game packages are normalised into one song model. The pipeline parses chart data, carries audio and metadata forward, validates what it found, and hands the result to a destination-specific exporter. The Avalonia app and small CLI reuse the same core services.
The chart path reads .chart, MIDI, and SNG data, preserves notes, tempo, and time signatures across conversion, and includes an editor plus audio-driven chart generation. Generated charts are working material for the editor, not a claim that signal processing can replace authoring judgement.
For personal use with content you own. It does not bypass DRM or make redistribution somebody else’s problem.
